Heydar Alirza Oglu Aliyev was born on 10 May 1923. Being elected in July 1969 as the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev heads the Socialist Republic of Azerbaijan.

He embodied the aim and purpose of the nation, mobilized and united it around one goal and enabled it to have the sense of confidence in the future. He won the love of the whole nation and inspired it to creative successes with his unexhausted energy.
